Welcome to the ninth issue of the British Crystallographic Association (BCA) Industrial Group dedicated XRF Newsletter. There is a copy of this Newsletter on the web.

BCA Spring meeting 21^st-23^rd April 2009 - XRF session reports.
A three day programme of XRF sessions on "General Applications, New Developments in Instrumentation and TXRF, Environmental - including a plenary and joint XRF/XRD session, Trace Analysis, Method Validation and Portable Instruments".

12th May 2010 British Geological Survey, Keyworth, XRF User Meeting followed by an XRD meeting on the 13th at the same venue.
We are in the early planning stages for this meeting and now issue a call for papers, to offer a talk, just contact any of the XRF committee members. A report of the 2008 meeting will give you a flavour of what to expect.

We need a new XRF logo for our web pages.
can you design a good BCA XRF logo? Suitable designs will be added to a logo web page to await a decision.
