Car Park information and registration:
Delegates should use the main entrance situated on Summerpool Road (off Bakewell Road) and should park in the designated area (sign posted accordingly) and then proceed to the main reception. Registration will take place in the main reception and delegates will then be escorted to building 28 where the meeting will take place. Additionally, signs will be posted to direct delegates to building 28 and the lecture theatre.

On arrival
Coffee & pastries will be served in the Bonington break out area situated on the first floor of building 28 (as will all meals & coffees). Access is via the lifts, or the stairs, adjacent to the lifts. The meeting will take place in the Bonington lecture theatre also situated on the first floor of building 28.

By Road:

Loughborough is easily accessible by road due to the towns close proximity to the M1 motorway, the A1 , the A6 and the A50

Travelling to the north from the south
Make your way to the M1 and head northbound in the direction of Leeds and Leicester. Leave the motorway at Junction 23 (Shepshed/Loughborough). Take the third exit on the motorway roundabout in to the A512 Ashby Road (the University Campus is on your right) following directions for Loughborough town Centre. Continue straight on at the first roundabout. At the second roundabout turn left into Epinal Way (dual carriage way) and follow the ring road, past the fire station (on your left) to the second roundabout. Take the third exit, turning right into Warwick Way. Follow the road to the next roundabout. Proceed straight across into Bishop MeadowRoad. Head straight across the mini roundabout ( passing Fisher Scientific on your right and Artform to your left). At the next roundabout turn right into Bakewell Road and then take the first left into Summerpool Road. Take the first left into Charnwood sites main entrance.

Travelling to the south from the north
Make your way to the M1 and head southbound in the direction of London and Leicester. Leave the motorway at Junction 24 (Kegworth/Lockington). Take the second exit on the motorway roundabout into the A6 following directions for Loughborough. Follow the A6 through the villages of Kegworth and Hathern. Follow the A6 until you come to a large roundabout. Take the first exit turning left into BishopMeadow Road. Head straight across the mini roundabout (passing Fisher Scientific on your right and Artform to your left). At the next roundabout turn right into BakewellRoad and then take the first left into Summerpool Road. Take the first left into Charnwood sites main entrance.

By Rail:

Loughborough is on the Midland Mainline route running from London St Pancras to Sheffield. This high-speed train service can whisk passengers from Loughborough to the capital in just 1hr & 22 minutes. Loughborough train station is 2 miles away and approximately five minutes by taxi from the AstraZeneca R&D Charnwood site. Loughborough train station also has regular connections to Nottingham and Derby train stations. The Liverpool to Norwich line (Northwest East Anglia line) passes through Nottingham connecting the city with travellers from Liverpool, Manchester, Stockport, Sheffield and Chesterfield. The Plymouth to Edinburgh line (Southwest Northeast line) passes through Derby connecting the city with travellers from Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Newcastle.

By Air:

Nottingham East Midlands Airport (NEMA) , which is just seven miles from AstraZeneca R&D Charnwood by road, offers a number of National, European and International scheduled services. Birmingham International Airport (BHX) , which is approximately 45 minutes from AstraZeneca R&D Charnwood by road, provides a wide range of scheduled flights to many National, European, International (good services to North America) destinations.
