This disc contains a spreadsheet used to evaluate Intensity Round Robin Data Full details of the Round Robin tests and UK results are given in the accompanying files:- RROBREPT.DOC a Word 6 document (UK Round Robin Report) and RROBAPND.XLS an Excel 5 spreadsheet containing the Report APPENDIX sheets 3, 5-10. The NIST SRM1976 Alumina plate std is available for purchase in the UK from BAS Tel 01642300500 INTESITY ROUND ROBIN EVALUATION:- There is a COPPER or Cobalt tube version designed to run in Excel 5 For cobalt tubes use RROBCOTP.XLS For copper tubes use RROBCUTP.XLS They should be used as a template for new data and should be saved as a new unique file name (UKDEMO.XLS is a completed data set with intensity data entered as an example) INPUT sheet is a form in which the extracted raw data is typed into the white cells It links data automatically to TEMPLATE sheet and the report and plots are produced automatically TEMPLATE sheet is the original Ron Jenkins spreadsheet converted from Quattro Pro All the calculation is made on this sheet. The sensitivity FOM calculation and deadtime calculation has been added The calculated deadtime can only be considered as an indicator and if doubted should be determined with better counting statistics Typing the data into the input sheet automatically completes the report and plots REPORT sheet is the comparison between your data and UK/ USA data For test 8 two sets of intensity data are plotted - choose appropriate fixed or variable slit version INTENSITY sheets are plots of your intensity VS the NIST certified data (except 84.36 peak- not certified) You should use either the fixed or variable slit version as appropriate to your system Displacement sheet is a plot of the displacement of each peak from its predicted position Bkg sheet is a plot of background intensities versus 2 Theta angle FOM sheet is a plot of the UK the Instrument Sensitivity FOM Data plus the data from your test 1c UK Sumry sheet contains the summary data for all completed UK tests along with the results from this test (in red) Data Extraction:- the data is extracted manually from the measured data file.(see EXTRACT sheet for example) Test 1c The Full width half maximum is calculated either manually or with your normal fitting routine "tests1-3, 5-7 Peak angle is found and position and intensity recorded " The valley between A1 and A2 and alpha2 intensity are recorded summed backgrounds as indicated are recorded Test 4 has the five intensities about the peak ( highest in centre) and peak position recorded Test 8 has the position and intensity data from the specified peaks and background intensities recorded This spreadsheet is distributed by the Industrial Group Of the British Crystallographic Association no liability is accepted or warranty given.
